Broad Scandinavian support at the first NCSH members meeting
On September 3rd we had the first member meeting with the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare hosted by our partner Swecare in Stockholm. During the meeting, which was fully booked several days before September 3rd, representatives of Schneider Electrics, BBD, Swecare, TEM, Glamox Luxo, Samsung, Johnson & Johnson, Bauer, Ligudity Services, Karolinska University Hospital, Oslo University hospital, Martinsson, Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, Innvovaiton Norway, Eco Online, Samsung, Miljöaktuellt, Miljörapporten and Helseplan discussed the future of the NCSH.
Anders Lönnberg, the Swedish government’s national coordinator for Life Sciences, who attended the meeting, gave his view on the new center. He, among other things, shared the view from the Innovation Agenda that intersectional projects like the NCSH are in great demand and can be a part of a Swedish business plan to boost export and increase employement rates. Today sustainability and environment are crucial aspects in all healthcare investments and are about to become an important business and innovation area.
Some of the topics discussed during the meeting were a steering committee, an NCSH conference 2016, local meetings in hospitals, development projects etc. More information and notes will be sent to members.
Due to the huge interest, we will organize a similar meeting in Malmö on October 19th.
