Innovation cluster for energy efficient healthcare - ongoing project
Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare and TEM have formed an innovation cluster for energy efficient healthcare funded by the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten). Organizations with interest in making healthcare more energy efficient can take part in the cluster/project. You could be a CleanTech company, a MedTech company with good energy performance solutions, a hospital or another healthcare provider, a NGO, an industry association or a university for example. Participating organizations must co-finance the project, but most of it can be “in-kind”. Please contact us to find out more. The cluster started June 2016 and organizations that join now will have the privilege to help setting the goals, activities and actions that the cluster will take during 2016 and 2017. There are possibilities for organizations outside Sweden to participate, but most activities will take place in Sweden. The idea is that the cluster will be permanent and “not just another project”. The project will be down to earth and create real, both short and long term, benefits for the participants.
Some of the activities in the innovation cluster:
• Match-making – solutions and hospitals
• Testbeds – Innovation procurement
• Best-practice – “What’s on the market” – some export acticities
• Study visits – Collaborations healthcare/companies
• Creating connections between entrepreneurs and new hospital buildings being built
